Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Workplace Health & Safety Specialists who are recent or upcoming graduates. This role develops safety leaders through hands-on training in fulfillment, sort, or delivery facilities. You will help reduce risk, investigate incidents, deliver training, and support continuous improvement across site operations.


What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and implement comprehensive safety programs and local safety initiatives aligned to corporate/global standards.
  • Lead daily/regular safety audits, risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
  • Facilitate incident investigations and root-cause analysis; track corrective actions to completion.
  • Maintain required safety records and documentation to meet OSHA and internal compliance requirements.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and coaching to frontline associates, area managers, and temporary teams.
  • Translate safety data into clear insights and recommended mitigation measures (including ergonomics).
  • Support fire prevention, hazardous waste management, and other site safety activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects that balance safety and operational productivity.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • In-person, site-based role in fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations or equivalent facilities — not a corporate or remote position.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds; frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours during shifts).
  • Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperature exposure (outdoor loading areas possible).
  • Continuous stair use at some sites; must be available for flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Start, Placement & Sponsorship

  • Expected start window: July 2026 – September 2026.
  • Site placement is based on candidate preferences and location availability after interview. Relocation assistance may be offered to eligible candidates at the time of offer.
  • CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT is not able to provide immigration sponsorship for these positions. Candidates must have full work authorization in the U.S. without employer intervention.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay ranges depend on location. Example ranges from the posting include:
    • IL, Huntley / IN, Hobart / IN, Merrillville / NC, Fayetteville / VA, Richmond — $27.98–$33.41 USD per hour
    • MS, Canton — $25.19–$30.09 USD per hour
  • Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Total rewards may include sign-on payments, equity or RSUs (where applicable), health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) matching, paid time off, parental leave, and other benefits — details provided at offer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree requirements must be met prior to your first day).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or coursework in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Interest in or prior experience with workplace safety, incident investigation, or ergonomics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving aptitude; comfortable using data to influence change.
