What You’ll Do

This entry-level Workplace Health and Safety Specialist in West Miami, FL will be an on-site safety champion who helps prevent injuries, drive compliance, and build a proactive safety culture across a fulfillment or delivery facility. You’ll receive robust safety training and work closely with operations and leadership to translate safety data into action.

  • Coordinate and implement safety programs and initiatives.
  • Lead daily safety audits, risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Facilitate incident investigations and document findings.
  • Record and report safety incidents in internal systems in a timely manner.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and coach associates and managers on safe work practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce risk while supporting productivity.
  • Support fire prevention, hazardous waste handling, ergonomics and other safety activities.
  • Communicate findings and recommended mitigations clearly to leadership and frontline teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly safety audits to identify compliance gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead root-cause incident investigations and track corrective actions to completion.
  • Maintain OSHA- and company-required records and paperwork.
  • Train team members (Area Managers, Safety Team Members, Associates) on audits, rules, and safety procedures.
  • Analyze safety data and prepare concise reports to influence behavior and operational changes.
  • Recommend practical engineering, administrative, or PPE controls to reduce hazards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree must be completed before your first day).
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship (this role cannot provide sponsorship now or in the future).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 49 pounds as required.
  • Comfortable working in variable noise and temperature environments and climbing/descending stairs as needed.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree focus in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Interest or prior experience in safety-related roles (internships, co-ops, or operational safety tasks).
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem-solving ability and experience using data to influence change.
  • Experience conducting Job Hazard Analyses, incident investigations, or safety training is a plus.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • This is a full-time, on-site role at a fulfillment center, sort center, delivery station, or similar facility within the fulfillment network.
  • Expect frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching during shifts.
  • Work environment may include variable temperature and outdoor loading areas.
  • Must be able to perform physical elements of the role and follow site safety procedures.

Location & Start Date

  • This role will start between July 2026 and September 2026.
  • Location: On-site placement based on candidate preferences and site availability. Relocation assistance may be offered at time of hire for eligible candidates.
  • Note: This is not a corporate or remote position.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range (location-dependent): $27.98 - $33.41 per hour.
  • Total compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock or equity components where applicable; final pay is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
