Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Work Control Planner I to join their engineering team supporting projects in Oak Ridge, TN. This is an entry-level, full-time role (remote/telecommute option available) focused on supporting work package development, work order tracking, and maintenance authorization for field maintenance and calibration activities.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in preparation and development of work packages for maintenance and calibration tasks.
- Help track work order progress and update documentation supporting assigned field activities.
- Support preparation of work documents that authorize maintenance and calibration efforts.
- Assist in prioritizing work, estimating required man-hours, and documenting scope for planners and technicians.
- Support miscellaneous work control and planning activities as assigned by the manager.
- Deliver assigned tasks with high quality, good follow-through, and strong communication to build effective working relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facility Management, or a related discipline — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- This is an entry-level position intended for recent college graduates or early-career professionals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working under direct supervision and following standard procedures and checklists.
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to estimate and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with field personnel and cross-functional teams.
