The role — what you’ll do
Confidential Client is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join an innovative, collaborative engineering team. This hybrid, entry-level position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and supports multidisciplinary project teams delivering design and technical services for municipal and industrial water and wastewater systems and treatment facilities.
- Contribute to cross-functional project teams delivering engineering solutions for municipal and industrial clients (mining, energy, manufacturing).
- Perform technical analyses (mass balances, process calculations), equipment selection, and cost estimating.
- Develop detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and supporting design documentation for treatment systems and infrastructure.
- Support field sampling and bench/pilot testing at client sites or in lab settings to refine treatment design bases.
- Prepare technical reports and ensure designs meet environmental standards and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in site visits and short-term travel to support project delivery and client engagement.
About the opportunity
- Work location: Hybrid arrangement based in Minneapolis, Minnesota (expectation to visit the office at least one day per month).
- Travel: Up to ~25% travel; typically 1–3 continuous days on-site when required.
- Work environment: Field work may include construction sites and industrial locations with variable terrain and equipment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.

About you – required core competencies
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, biosystems, or chemical engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level).
- Software: Familiarity with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn project-specific engineering software.
- Mobility & driving: Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if required for field work).
- Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Professional attributes: Client-service focused, self-motivated, comfortable working independently and on teams, flexible with schedules to meet project needs.
Compensation & classification
- Anticipated base salary range: $73,000–$85,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, education, skills, and other compensable factors.
- Eligible for discretionary cash bonus based on team/individual performance.
- Employment classification: Exempt (salaried) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
