What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer I to support planning, design, and field activities for water and wastewater projects in Saint Augustine, FL. This is a hands-on role where you’ll apply standard engineering techniques and gain exposure to design, specifications, estimating, vendor review, and field data collection.
- Prepare plan details, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates for portions of projects
- Perform calculations for design segments and prepare technical report sections
- Assist in preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor bids/drawings for compliance
- Review and approve design drawings within defined limits
- Conduct periodic field tests, measurements, and data collection
- Support proposal teams with technical content and estimating
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to meet project schedules
What We’re Looking For
We seek candidates who are technically curious, reliable in the field and office, and eager to develop professionally in water resources and wastewater engineering.
- Entry-level to early-career civil/municipal engineer
- Basic experience or coursework in water/wastewater design, hydraulics, or environmental engineering
- Familiarity with common engineering software and automated design tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills for technical reports and client interactions
- Willingness to perform fieldwork (tests, measurements, data collection)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (4-year ABET-accredited program preferred)
- Equivalent combination of work experience or advanced degree may be considered
- Internship or co-op experience in water/wastewater projects is a plus
