What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level Engineer-in-Training (EIT II) role on-site in Spring Valley, NV supporting water and wastewater projects. Under close supervision of a Project Manager you will contribute to design, analysis, documentation, and client interactions as part of multidisciplinary project teams.
- Assist with design and planning of water and sewer projects under Project Manager supervision
- Prepare reports, modeling, calculations, plan drawings, and shop drawing/RFI reviews
- Support cost estimating and review basic hydraulic/hydrologic modeling
- Assist in preparation of study plans and technical specifications
- Prepare GIS exhibits and databases to document existing and proposed infrastructure
- Conduct condition assessments and develop rehabilitation recommendations for sewer facilities
- Support improvement plans for reservoirs, pump stations, sewer lift stations, and major utility infrastructure
- Contribute to sewer capacity studies and water main/sewer main design
- Interact with clients and regulatory agencies as directed and gather required project information
Qualifications
To be successful in this position you should meet the baseline education/certification requirements and be ready to learn and grow in a supervised engineering role.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or related engineering discipline (required)
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) exam (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license

Skills & Tools
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Familiarity with ArcGIS and/or WaterCAD is a plus
- Ability to apply basic engineering principles to analyze and solve problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
