Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure projects; may supervise drawing production.
  • Support preparation and assembly of specifications for projects and project deliverables.
  • Participate in engineering investigations and planning by collecting and analyzing data using established procedures.
  • Perform routine engineering calculations and help evaluate alternative technical solutions.
  • Prepare assigned sections of technical reports and permit application materials under close review.
  • Review shop drawings, observe construction activities, assist with recordkeeping, and collect samples for quality control when required.
  • Conduct field observations of construction as appropriate and support project documentation and progress reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant professional experience; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree (ABET-accredited) in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is preferred. Experience with Excel and Power BI is a plus.
  • Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and willingness to learn on the job.
