What You’ll Do
This entry-level Management in Training – Operations role places you in a fast-paced distribution warehouse environment with a structured six-month, hands-on training curriculum. As an Operations MIT you will:
- Receive hands-on training across distribution center functions: operations, management, purchasing, and customer service.
- Observe and learn methods, procedures, and performance standards from experienced staff.
- Shadow contractors, builders, service/maintenance teams, and retail customers to understand the full value chain.
- Attend classroom sessions (lecture, role play, computer lab) at the EDGEucation Center to cover operations, financials, leadership, human capital, and systems.
- Prepare and deliver a comprehensive presentation to senior leadership at program completion.
- Support special operations projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or related field; minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Demonstrated leadership or problem-solving experience — internships, clubs, athletics, military, volunteer leadership, or relevant work experience qualify.
- Comfortable working in a distribution warehouse environment.
- Results-driven self-starter with strong leadership and team development capability.
- Customer-service focused attitude and high motivation.
- Willingness to relocate during/after the program (relocation assistance provided).
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to operate/maneuver pallet jacks, forklifts, and lift up to 75 lbs.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn inventory systems and other operational software.
- Any prior distribution or supply chain exposure (internships, coursework, or club involvement).
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay (source listing): $49,234 per year (estimated).
- For certain states listed by the employer the role may be paid at $28.85/hour; relocation and cost-of-living adjustments may apply where noted by the employer.

Location & Relocation
- Hiring location for initial training is on-site in Shreveport, LA. Training is held on-site; upon completing training you may be required to relocate out of state (company-provided relocation assistance available).
- This role requires willingness to relocate as part of career development.
