Job Summary

This Management in Training – Operations (MIT) Program is an entry-level, hands-on training program based in a distribution warehouse. Over a six-month program you’ll gain practical experience across operations, management, and purchasing with the goal of progressing into supervisory or operations manager roles nationwide.

Important: Training is held on-site starting in December 2026. After completing training in May 2027, you will be required to relocate out of state (with company-provided assistance).


What You Will Do

  • Receive hands-on training and perform duties across the distribution center, including Operations, Management, and Purchasing.
  • Observe experienced staff to learn standard procedures, methods, and performance expectations.
  • Shadow contractors/builders, service/maintenance teams, and retail customers to understand customer perspectives in the pool, irrigation and landscape distribution business.
  • Participate in classroom training (lecture, role play, computer lab) at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management and operating systems.
  • Deliver a comprehensive presentation to senior management upon completion of the 6-month program.
  • Support special operations projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or a related field with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Leadership or problem-solving experience; in lieu of paid experience we will consider internships, student organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership.
  • Comfortable working in a distribution warehouse environment and operating/maneuvering pallet jacks, forklifts, and similar equipment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Results-driven self-starter with strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Customer-service orientation and a motivated, professional attitude.
  • Willingness to relocate during and after the program (company-paid relocation assistance).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to learn inventory systems and other software.
  • Relevant internships or extracurricular leadership experience considered in lieu of formal work history.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual compensation (nationwide): $60,000 per year (based on a 40-hour work week; roughly $28.85/hr). May be eligible for relocation assistance or cost-of-living adjustments.

  • Hiring at: Confidential Client, 10468 Brockwood Rd., Dallas, TX 75238.
  • On-site training begins December 2026. Program completes in May 2027; relocation out of state will be required for career placement after program completion (company-provided assistance).
