Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Management in Training — Operations (MIT) for their distribution warehouse in Columbia, SC. This hands-on, 6-month training program prepares graduates for Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager roles nationwide. Training is on-site; company-provided relocation assistance is available after training completion.
What You’ll Do
- Receive hands-on cross-functional training across operations, management, purchasing and other distribution center areas.
- Observe and learn procedures, standards and best practices from experienced staff.
- Shadow contractors, service/maintenance teams and retail customers to understand customer needs and field operations.
- Participate in classroom and lab training at the EDGEucation Center (Plano, TX) covering operations, financials, leadership, HR fundamentals and operating systems.
- Deliver a comprehensive presentation to senior management at program completion.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related field; minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Leadership or problem-solving experience (work, internships, athletics, military or community roles).
- Interest in and ability to work in a distribution warehouse environment.
- Results-driven, self-starter with strong leadership and team development skills.
- Customer-service focused attitude.
- Willingness to relocate during and after training (relocation assistance provided).
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Ability to operate/learn to operate pallet jacks, forklifts and to lift up to 75 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to learn inventory systems and other software.
- Any distribution/supply-chain internships, clubs, volunteer leadership or military leadership experience will be considered.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $28.85 per hour (nationwide rate; full-time). Estimated annual compensation shown in source material: $53,339 (may vary by location and hours).
- Relocation assistance may be available during/after the program.

Additional Details
