What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Vulnerability Management professional. This role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance and focuses on identifying, assessing, and helping remediate security vulnerabilities across systems and networks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments for systems and network assets
- Triage and prioritize discovered vulnerabilities based on risk and impact
- Work with IT and engineering teams to develop and track remediation plans
- Monitor environments for potential security incidents and escalate appropriately
- Maintain and improve vulnerability management processes and documentation
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and help implement preventive controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (required)
- Current Security+ CE certification (required)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management best practices
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and common techniques
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across IT and security teams
Compensation & Location
- Estimated pay: $70,385 per year (estimated)
- Employment type: Full-time
- Location: Johnson City, TN (on-site or as required by the client)
- This position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance and compliance with applicable client security policies.
