Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Visitor Control Specialist to join its security team in Crystal, VA. This role supports visitor entry and circulation control, program security administration, and personnel/information-security tasks at facilities that handle sensitive programs. The position requires attention to detail, professionalism at visitor checkpoints, and the ability to follow secure-process procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Check identification for all visitors and verify sponsorship/clearance via DISS or the local database
- Determine visitor need-to-enter, log visitors, issue visitor badges, and notify hosts of arrivals
- Enforce prohibited-item policies (e.g., cell phones, USB drives) in SAP areas
- Generate standard security forms and process foreign official travel and country-clearance requests
- Verify clearance levels and sign off on security portions of system access for onboarding
- Receive and process packages in accordance with facility SOPs
- Ensure assigned personnel display authorized access badges and maintain accountability for badges and equipment
- Perform emergency procedures (bomb threat, active shooter, fire evacuation, force protection, AT/Anti-Terrorism)
- Process incoming/outgoing visit requests and transmit SAP/SCI/collateral visit certifications (F‑35 JPO)
- Issue, track, inventory, and manage F‑35 JPO visitor badges
- Monitor and control incoming/outgoing U.S. Government property and collect/close foreign travel reports
- Assist with personnel, information, and program security tasks as required
Qualifications & Clearance
- Must have at least a Secret clearance to start and be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI/SAP eligibility
- Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 1–2 years of related experience preferred
- Prior experience in special program security/visitor control is highly preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant aptitude may be considered
- Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and ability to follow secure facility procedures
Additional Details
- Employment type: Full time
- Location: Crystal, VA (work onsite)
- Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 per year (range provided by client)
