Virtual/Hybrid High School Math Teacher
The Virtual/Hybrid High School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering mathematics instruction to high school students in a virtual setting, utilizing district-approved curriculum and digital platforms. This role involves developing lesson plans, assessing and remediating student progress, managing virtual classroom behavior, and maintaining strong communication with students, parents, and staff to support student success in a blended learning environment.

What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking a Virtual/Hybrid High School Math Teacher to deliver standards-aligned math instruction in a virtual setting. This role focuses on planning and delivering engaging lessons, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with school staff and families to support student success.
- Design and deliver daily virtual lessons aligned to the district-adopted curriculum.
- Use digital platforms and instructional materials to assign work, assess student learning, and provide timely feedback.
- Differentiate instruction, re-teach, and remediate to meet diverse learner needs.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress; use data to adjust instruction and interventions.
- Manage student behavior in the virtual classroom and maintain a positive online learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records (attendance, gradebooks, progress reports) and complete required testing and documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians via district-approved platforms, phone, and conferences.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning with administrators and colleagues.
- Supervise instructional assistants as assigned and support student safety both online and on campus when required.
- Stay current with instructional technology and attend training as provided.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must meet the minimum requirements listed below.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Satisfactory completion of student teaching and required coursework.
- Current and valid Indiana Teacher’s License in the applicable grade level/subject area OR eligibility for an Emergency Permit (if the district sponsors one).
- Proficiency with digital learning platforms and classroom technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for virtual instruction and family engagement.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Successful completion of employment eligibility verification and required background checks (criminal history, child-protective background checks where applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (preferred, and reflected in the salary schedule).
- Prior experience teaching high school mathematics in virtual or blended settings.
- Experience using formative assessment tools and data-driven instructional planning.
- Comfort supervising virtual small-group instruction and supporting instructional assistants.
Working Conditions & Schedule
- Employment type: Full-time; work year is set annually by the Board of Education.
- Work days: 184 days per year (does not include holidays).
- Standard hours: 7 hours per day.
- Job location type: Telecommute (virtual/hybrid); some on-campus duties and supervision may be required.
- Employment will require compliance with applicable state licensing rules and any in-person obligations identified by the district.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary (per the Teachers salary schedule): $50,800 (Bachelor’s) – $51,800 (Master’s) for 0 years of experience. Placement may vary based on experience and degree.
