Position Summary

Confidential Client is seeking motivated, early-career C++ Software Engineers to join a distributed team working on decentralized systems and game-related projects. You’ll work with modern C++ (C++17/20), follow SOLID principles, and use AI-assisted development tools to contribute to a large C++ codebase. This is a contract, entry-level role with remote-friendly collaboration.

What You’ll Do

You’ll contribute to the SuperGenius-style platform and related gaming projects by working on performant, maintainable C++ components across multiple repositories.

• Develop and maintain C++ code focused on reliability and performance, under guidance from senior engineers
• Apply SOLID design principles to produce clean, testable code
• Leverage AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Grok Code Fast, or similar) to accelerate code generation, debugging, and refactoring
• Contribute to P2P networking or decentralized data components (libp2p, IPFS, CRDTs, RocksDB) where applicable
• Optionally support game engine work (Unreal, Unity, Godot): rendering, compute shaders, or crypto integrations
• Write and optimize multithreaded code using modern C++ constructs (smart pointers, move semantics)
• Use standard data structures and analyze algorithmic efficiency (big-O)
• Participate in code reviews, collaborate across time zones, and adopt best practices for large-scale C++ repositories
• Debug complex issues in decentralized or game-related workflows, using AI tools for efficiency

Key Qualifications

• 1–2 years of C++ experience (professional, academic, or personal projects) with familiarity with C++17/20
• Basic object-oriented programming knowledge and willingness to apply SOLID principles
• Some exposure to data structures, algorithms, or multithreading in C++
• Curiosity about decentralized systems (P2P, IPFS, RocksDB) or game development (Unreal, Unity, Godot)
• Familiarity with Git and unit testing frameworks (e.g., gtest) is a plus
• Interest in using AI coding tools to boost productivity (code generation, debugging, refactoring)
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote, global team environment

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding workflows (Claude Code, Grok Code Fast, etc.)
• Exposure to P2P networking stacks (libp2p), decentralized storage, or CRDTs
• Basic knowledge or prototypes in game engines (Unreal, Unity, Godot)
• Experience with compute shaders (Vulkan), rendering pipelines, or cryptography (ECDSA)
• Contributions to open-source C++ projects or personal game/dev demos
