VDDV Modeling Engineer (CAE)
The VDDV Modeling Engineer (CAE) at Confidential Client is an entry-level role focused on using computer-aided engineering tools to develop and support vehicle structural simulations and analyses. The engineer will work under mentorship to automate processes, support early vehicle architecture development, validate FEA models, and collaborate across teams to meet vehicle performance targets within the vehicle development process.

Responsibilities
Confidential Client is seeking entry-level Computer Aided Engineers (CAE) to join a Virtual Design, Development and Validation (VDDV) team focused on using virtual tools to accelerate development and improve quality. Working under general mentorship, you will help deliver CAE solutions that meet vehicle performance targets and program timelines.
- Conduct analytical structural simulations to evaluate performance and support decision-making.
- Develop and validate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models; establish methods to ensure model quality.
- Drive process automation for FEA models and scripting workflows (Python).
- Support early architecture and program development with rapid model/concept methods.
- Track and communicate ongoing CAE studies between program teams and CAE groups.
- Estimate project timelines and manage internal customer expectations.
- Support innovation initiatives and Road-to-Lab-to-Math projects.
- Learn and apply vehicle development process requirements and contribute to project planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
- Must be graduating between December 2025 and August 2026.
- Programming and Python scripting knowledge.
- Demonstrated skills in process automation.
- Understanding of vehicle partitioning and GVDP (Global Vehicle Development Process).
- Strong analytical problem solving, data analysis, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools quickly.
- Effective collaboration, communication, customer relationship management and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling.
- Exposure to tools such as ANSA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter.
- Aptitude for initiative, process integration, and global collaboration.
- Familiarity with robust design principles and uncertainty analysis.
