What You’ll Do

This entry-level VDC Project Engineer role supports construction coordination by implementing BIM and VDC technology across design and construction phases. You will collaborate with project teams—Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents—to ensure projects are coordinated efficiently and constructability issues are identified early.

• Review and audit 3D models from consultants and contractors (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
• Perform clash-detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
• Support and enforce the BIM Execution Plan and BIM construction process
• Help organize and distribute BIM project files and model data
• Lead or support weekly coordination meetings; issue agendas, minutes, and coordination reports
• Conduct early design reviews and constructability analyses
• Support BIM/VDC technology integration in the field and assist with implementation on-site
• Work collaboratively across disciplines to solve technical problems and improve workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Entry-level candidates and recent graduates encouraged to apply; prior AEC experience is a plus
• Full-time role based in Manhattan, NY

Required & Preferred Skills

• Strong interest and foundational knowledge in BIM and Construction Technology
• Experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with clash detection and Navisworks is highly valuable
• Organized, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable in collaborative team settings
• Professional, motivated, detail-oriented, and resilient
• Preferred: experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Bluebeam, Procore, P6, or Synchro

• Salary range: $70,000–$90,000 per year
• Location: Manhattan, NY
