Role Summary
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level VDC Project Engineer to support BIM/VDC workflows for construction projects based in Manhattan, NY. This role contributes to design review, coordination, and model management using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, and works alongside project managers, engineers, and field teams to improve constructability and reduce clashes.
What You’ll Do
- Review and audit 3D models from consultants and contractors in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Manage BIM construction processes and help ensure the BIM Execution Plan is followed
- Perform clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and coordination reports
- Lead or support weekly coordination meetings with project teams
- Conduct early design reviews and constructability analysis
- Organize and distribute BIM project files and updates
- Support BIM/VDC technology integration in the field and on-site coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents to keep projects coordinated and efficient
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Recent graduates from Architecture, Construction, or Engineering programs are encouraged to apply
- Previous AEC industry experience is preferred but not required
Essential Skills & Tools
- Familiarity with architectural, engineering, and construction principles
- Hands-on experience or coursework with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Exposure to Navisworks for clash detection is preferred
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, and/or Synchro is a plus
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Collaborative mindset and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, motivated, detail-oriented, resilient, and positive approach
Compensation
- Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (range provided by the employer).

Location & Work Arrangement
- This position is based in Manhattan, NY. On-site presence for coordination and field integration is expected as project needs require.
