The Opportunity
Confidential Client's Deals team within Accounting & Finance is seeking an experienced associate to support deal valuation engagements. In this role you will perform valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other financial transactions. You will build financial models, analyze deal drivers, prepare client deliverables, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while developing technical expertise and client-facing skills.
What You’ll Do
- Perform valuation engagements (business valuations, intangible asset valuation, impairment testing)
- Develop and maintain financial models and valuation analyses for M&A and other transactions
- Support client engagement tasks: data collection, research, and drafting deliverables
- Communicate findings clearly to senior staff and clients; prepare presentations and memos
- Adapt to changing project requirements and contribute to multiple engagements simultaneously
- Take ownership of learning goals and apply professional standards and client policies in work
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Quantitative Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in valuation, corporate finance, or a related role
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Effective written and verbal communication; proven ability to work in teams
- Authorized to work in the U.S. — applicants who require visa sponsorship should review Confidential Client's sponsorship policy
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience performing valuation engagements and applying valuation methodologies for businesses and intangible assets
- Experience with derivatives and advanced financial modeling
- Understanding of intellectual property valuation and impairment testing
- Professional credentials such as CFA or ASA are a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $63,000 - $140,000 (actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law)
- Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
