Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring a UX/UI Designer to help shape polished, user-focused digital products. This full-time, associate-level role supports product teams across the organization to deliver intuitive interfaces, high-fidelity prototypes, and design systems that scale. The role is US-based with flexible working arrangements and potential remote options.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in all phases of the product design lifecycle: discovery, ideation, prototyping, developer handoff, and user acceptance.
  • Partner with product managers, business analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant user interfaces.
  • Produce high-fidelity UI designs, interactive prototypes, and micro-interaction specs that communicate intent and behavior.
  • Maintain and evolve design artifacts: Sketch/FIGMA files, pattern libraries, style guides, and component documentation.
  • Estimate design effort for sprint planning and contribute to two-week agile sprint cycles.
  • Use data to inform decisions: identify assumptions, run rapid usability tests, and iterate based on findings.
  • Preserve design fidelity through development by providing clear specs and QA support.
  • Present design work in Show & Tell sessions, incorporate feedback, and advocate for UX best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Product, UX, or UI design.
  • Strong visual design and interaction design skills; experience with responsive and accessible interfaces.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (examples: Sketch, Figma, InVision, Framer X).
  • Experience working in agile teams (two-week sprint cycles preferred).
  • Familiarity with collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain design rationale to non-design stakeholders.
  • A portfolio that shows end-to-end product design work, interaction design, and real-world outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering pixel-quality UI assets.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience building or maintaining design systems and pattern libraries.
  • Experience with usability testing and data-driven design iteration.
  • Prior work in education technology, information platforms, or media products.

Benefits & Culture

  • Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, PTO, wellness initiatives).
  • Flexible working hours and opportunities for remote work (role-specific).
  • Learning & development programs to support career growth.
  • Collaborative, inclusive culture that values experimentation and continuous improvement.
