Ux Designer
Confidential Client is seeking a hands-on UX Designer for a fully remote contract role to create and evolve digital merchandising and acquisition experiences for a major entertainment brand. The role involves owning end-to-end design processes, enhancing an established Figma design system, and applying UX and accessibility best practices to deliver polished, intuitive web experiences. The designer will collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to visual direction including dark-mode design, and leverage research and AI tools to continuously improve the digital ecosystem.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and content teams to define and refine user problems and design solutions.
- Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that communicate interaction and intent.
- Conduct and synthesize basic user research and usability testing (moderated or unmoderated) to validate designs and inform iterations.
- Translate research and business requirements into clear design deliverables and handoffs for engineering.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and analytics to improve usability and engagement.
- Maintain and contribute to design systems, component libraries, and UI pattern documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Entry-level User Experience (UX) Designer or similar, comfortable working on product-focused teams.
- A portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design thinking, process, and finished work (wireframes, prototypes, flows).
- Experience with common design and prototyping tools (for example: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Ability to produce interactive prototypes and communicate interaction details to engineers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present design decisions and collaborate across functions.
- Comfortable learning quickly, receiving feedback, and iterating.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and how designs translate to implementation.
- Experience with accessibility best practices (WCAG) or inclusive design.
- Familiarity with user research methods and metrics-driven design.
- Experience in Media & Publishing or content-heavy product environments.
