Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a hands-on UX Designer to shape workflows and interfaces for a cloud-based product. You will translate complex user needs, product requirements, and technical constraints into clear, usable experiences across web and responsive platforms. This role partners closely with product managers, UX researchers, engineers, and data teams to improve core journeys that drive adoption, task completion, and retention. The position is remote-eligible and associated with Chicago, IL.

What You’ll Do

• Design end-to-end user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma for web and responsive product experiences.
• Turn research findings, analytics, support trends, and stakeholder input into prioritized UX improvements and testable design hypotheses.
• Create and maintain reusable components, patterns, and documentation inside a shared design system.
• Plan and run usability tests, concept evaluations, and design critiques; synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements, assess technical feasibility, and resolve implementation details prior to launch.
• Deliver detailed annotations, responsive states, accessibility considerations, and acceptance criteria for engineering handoff.
• Measure post-launch outcomes using tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar analytics platforms, and iterate based on observed user behavior.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional experience in UX, product design, interaction design, or a closely related role, with a portfolio demonstrating shipped digital products.
• Strong proficiency with Figma, including component libraries, auto layout, prototyping, and design-system workflows.
• Experience designing complex web applications, SaaS products, or data-rich workflows with multiple user roles and permission models.
• Working knowledge of user-centered design methods: interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Strong communication skills to explain design rationale, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with product and engineering teams.
• Practical understanding of responsive design, WCAG accessibility principles, and front-end constraints (HTML/CSS and common component patterns).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with analytics and experimentation tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Optimizely).
• Background in service design, UX research operations, or design systems at scale.
• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience working on SaaS or enterprise products.
