Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring a UX Design Associate to help design intuitive, accessible digital experiences for enterprise products. This early-career role is ideal for candidates with academic, internship, volunteer, or project experience in UX, interaction design, HCI, psychology, or related fields. You will work with designers, researchers, product teams, and engineers to turn customer insights into wireframes, prototypes, and validated design solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Support user research activities to surface customer goals, pain points, and opportunities
• Participate in interviews, workshops, and usability testing
• Organize research findings and translate insights into design opportunities (journey maps, personas, workflows)
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and experience concepts for digital products
• Contribute to intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-navigate experiences using human-centred design principles
• Partner with product teams, engineers, and other designers to iterate on solutions and incorporate feedback
• Communicate design ideas through visual storytelling, presentations, and interactive prototypes
• Explore AI-enabled experiences and evaluate emerging technologies through testing and iteration
• Use modern design and productivity tools to support research, ideation, and prototyping

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or equivalent practical experience completed recently or expected before start date
• Academic, internship, volunteer, or project experience in UX design, human-centred design, interaction design, HCI, psychology, or related fields
• Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and design thinking methodologies
• Experience producing wireframes, journey maps, prototypes, and user flows
• Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design platforms
• Ability to gather, organize, and interpret user feedback and research insights
• Experience working on team-based projects with multiple stakeholders
• Interest in designing accessible, inclusive, and customer-focused digital experiences

Preferred experience

• A portfolio demonstrating UX, product design, service design, or innovation-focused projects
• Exposure to usability testing, customer research, or workshop facilitation
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
• Interest in AI-enabled experiences and emerging interaction patterns
• Experience using AI-supported design or productivity tools (e.g., Figma AI, Miro AI, Adobe Firefly)

Compensation & benefits

• Base salary: $77,000 per year (full-time equivalent)
• Role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program (per client plan) and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off where applicable
• Opportunity to gain hands-on enterprise design experience, mentorship, and portfolio-building through project work
