What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring Utility Arborists to support utility vegetation management and right-of-way work in and around Farmville, VA. This hands-on field role focuses on keeping electrical infrastructure safe and reliable while protecting natural resources.

• Conduct vegetation inspections and assessments along utility rights-of-way
• Identify tree and brush management needs and recommend treatment plans
• Use GIS mapping and mobile technology to collect and document field data
• Evaluate terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions in project areas
• Collaborate with planners, project managers, and field crews to implement vegetation solutions
• Support utility compliance, reliability, and public safety efforts

What We’re Looking For

We seek motivated, safety-minded field professionals who enjoy outdoor work and continuous learning.

Required

• Passion for working outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions
• Ability to read and interpret GIS maps and spatial data
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using mobile technology
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle and travel within the service area
• Knowledge of or ability to learn local tree species identification and growth patterns

Preferred

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or related field
• Utility vegetation management or right-of-way experience
• ISA Certified Arborist® (or working toward certification)
• Leadership experience and a desire for career advancement
