About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking a relationship-driven University Relations Recruiter to join their Talent Acquisition team in Troy, MI. This role focuses on building and maintaining campus partnerships to attract top early-career talent for internships and entry-level roles. You will represent the employer brand on campus, manage internship and ambassador programs, coordinate events, and work closely with hiring managers to align campus recruiting with business hiring needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute campus recruiting strategies to build a diverse pipeline of interns and entry-level hires
- Build and sustain relationships with career services, faculty, student organizations, and campus stakeholders
- Own program management for internships and the campus ambassador program across the U.S., including planning and hiring
- Plan and attend career fairs, information sessions, networking events, and on-campus interviews
- Provide an excellent candidate experience through timely communication and clear guidance during the application and interview process
- Promote the employer brand on campus and via social media channels
- Track recruiting metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, and deliver data-driven recommendations
- Partner with hiring managers and HR teams to align university recruiting with business priorities
Working Conditions & Schedule
- This is a full-time role based in the Troy, MI office (office-based role).
- Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Role requires travel to campus events and career fairs as needed.
- Employment type: Full-time (and may include contract assignments depending on business needs).
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, university relations, or talent acquisition (mortgage or financial services experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Event planning and program management experience
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and social media recruiting tools
- Comfortable with travel for campus and recruitment events
