Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to create thoughtful, user-centered interfaces for client-facing and internal software. This remote-friendly role will require close collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs that drive excellent user experiences. Occasional on-site visits to the Tampa, FL office are expected; candidates within commuting distance to Tampa are preferred.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design work across multiple projects, translating user needs and business goals into clear UX solutions
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to communicate concepts
- Produce high-fidelity visual designs and UI element libraries (menus, tabs, widgets, components)
- Conduct user research, discovery sessions, and usability testing to validate design decisions
- Collaborate with front-end developers to implement designs; provide design assets and guidance
- Build and modify responsive interfaces using HTML5 and CSS3 when required
- Improve existing Angular-based applications to enhance usability and performance
- Recommend improvements to product design, architecture, and workflows
- Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices and apply them to projects
- Learn new technologies and methods as project needs evolve
Qualifications
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience in digital product environments
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design, software experiences, and end-to-end process
- Proven ability to produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Experience with design tools such as Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Familiarity with developer tools (Visual Studio Code, Git, Azure DevOps)
- Solid HTML5 and CSS3 skills and ability to collaborate closely with engineers
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to emerging technologies
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Nice to Have
- UI development experience (Angular or similar frameworks)
- Some JavaScript knowledge
- University degree in design, HCI, or related field (preferred)
- Located within commuting distance of Tampa, FL (preferred for occasional on-site work)
