About the Role

Confidential Client is seeking a UI/UX designer for a structured, hands-on internship program. This 9-week, onsite opportunity in Greenwich, CT offers real-world experience designing client-facing mobile, desktop, and web trading applications within a fast-paced Financial Services (FinTech) environment. You will work alongside product designers, engineers, and stakeholders and receive mentorship to develop research-backed, high-fidelity interfaces.


What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to user experience and visual design across mobile, desktop, and web trading products.
  • Produce wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Assist with user research, design audits, and usability testing; translate insights into practical design solutions.
  • Create and deliver digital design assets for development teams.
  • Iterate on designs based on stakeholder and developer feedback.
  • Own assigned project work under the guidance of a dedicated mentor.
  • Communicate design choices clearly to cross-functional partners.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual/Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, or XD).
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles and UX processes.
  • Experience creating wireframes, workflows, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Ability to commit to the full 9-week onsite internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expected graduation between May 2027 and December 2027.
  • Interest in FinTech, trading platforms, or large-data research products.
  • Prior project or portfolio pieces that demonstrate UX process and visual design outcomes.
