UI/UX Designer

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a hands-on UI/UX Designer to own design work across consumer and mobile products. You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to turn product problems into elegant, usable interfaces and prototypes. You’ll balance speed and polish: know when to ship pixel-perfect screens and when to iterate with low-fidelity concepts.
- Lead design projects across the full product lifecycle and multiple product launches
- Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to find practical solutions to design challenges
- Take full ownership of designs from discovery through implementation and iteration
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes; choose the appropriate fidelity for the task
- Create wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Incorporate user feedback through research, testing, and A/B experiments
- Maintain awareness of data handling best practices relevant to your role
- Follow security-aware development practices (including OWASP top 10 techniques when relevant)
- Report suspected security or policy violations to the appropriate authority
Qualifications
- 1+ year designing consumer and mobile products
- Proficient with modern design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and/or InVision)
- Strong visual design and interaction skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable producing both rapid prototypes and pixel-perfect screens
- Excellent communication skills; you can clearly present design rationale to product and engineering partners
- Experience incorporating user feedback via research or A/B testing
- Portfolio or PDF of design work available to share
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (per the role’s education requirement)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing for mobile-first products
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and responsive design
- Previous work in fast-moving, startup-like product teams
