What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a UI Software Engineer to design and build polished, high-performance user interfaces used by internal teams and customers. As a third-party recruiter, Careertakes is helping source candidates for this opportunity.

• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to translate UX designs into responsive, accessible, and maintainable UI components.
• Implement and maintain production-ready front-end code with strong emphasis on performance, cross-browser compatibility, and testability.
• Build and iterate on design systems, reusable component libraries, and documentation to scale UI development across teams.
• Partner on end-to-end delivery: participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot UI issues, profile performance, and apply optimizations to improve load times and runtime responsiveness.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices for frontend engineering.

What We’re Looking For

We seek an engineer who combines strong frontend engineering fundamentals with a product-minded approach.

• Proven experience building polished user interfaces in a professional setting.
• Strong JavaScript skills and comfort with modern frontend frameworks and tooling.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
• Track record of writing modular, testable code and participating in code reviews.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accessibility and user experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to or building design systems and component libraries.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and CI/CD for frontend applications.
• Background optimizing frontend performance (bundle size, lazy loading, rendering).
• Experience working in Agile teams and using modern collaboration tools.
