What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a UA Associate — Surety to support the Surety underwriting team. This is a hybrid, full-time role; the selected candidate should be able to report into one of these North American offices: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; or Schaumburg, IL.
As a UA Associate — Surety you will:
- Support underwriter and manager supervision to handle end-to-end bond administration for basic to moderately complex business
- Respond to agent/broker servicing requests and maintain strong service levels for internal and external partners
- Process new bond rate/quote requests and enter new bonds into policy systems
- Perform routine service tasks including billing inquiries, invoice support, and dispute follow-up
- Maintain accurate file documentation and quality bond notes to meet audit and business standards
- Escalate complex issues to underwriters and coordinate with teammates to resolve inquiries promptly
- Use internal systems and communicate availability of self-service tools to brokers/agents
Basic Qualifications
Applicants must meet ONE of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (no prior experience required) in any field OR
- Confidential Client Certified Insurance Apprentice (associate degree level or equivalent; no prior experience required) OR
- High school diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years of experience in administrative, customer service, financial services, risk management, or insurance roles
Plus:
- Familiarity with data collection and basic analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate data on schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance industry knowledge, especially surety/bond products
- Experience with processing, rating, or policy management systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent relationship-building and active listening skills with customers and coworkers
- Customer service experience and comfort working with details
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively
- Willingness to travel (~5%)
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $23.80 - $38.94 per hour (national average; pay will vary by location, role, skills, and experience)
- Short-term incentive bonus: 5%
- Eligible for comprehensive benefits, bonuses, and merit increases per local policy

Location & Work Model
- Hybrid role — regular remote/office flexibility with occasional in-office collaboration
