Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Trust & Estates Case Manager / Paralegal to support a Bequest Management practice that handles probate, trust administration, and estate settlement for nonprofit and charitable clients. This is a full-time role with training provided — no prior trusts & estates experience is required.


What you’ll do

  • Review, interpret, and edit legal documents (wills, trusts, waivers, receipts, releases, inventories, accountings) for accuracy prior to attorney or client review.
  • Communicate with financial institutions, estate/trust fiduciaries, and their representatives to facilitate bequest collection.
  • Monitor estate and trust administration progress and follow up to help ensure timely receipt of bequests.
  • Collaborate with bequest attorneys and internal team members to support efficient administration.
  • Draft and send confirmations and routine correspondence to fiduciaries and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate case records and supporting documentation in the bequest database.
  • Document notifications, correspondence, and follow-up actions for internal and client review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant administrative experience are welcome.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze legal documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Experience in legal, administrative, or financial environments is a plus.
  • Interest in estate law, probate administration, and nonprofit/bequest work.

Compensation & benefits

  • Starting pay: $21.05 per hour (approx. $43,775 per year).
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options (including employer-paid medical options for the employee).
  • Gym membership reimbursement.
  • Paid time off: 15 days PTO (increasing with tenure) and 12 paid company holidays in 2026.
  • Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Eastern Time.

Work location & remote policy

  • This position is available onsite at the client’s Providence, RI headquarters or remotely in approved states.
  • Remote employees must maintain a professional home workspace and reliable internet (minimum 30 Mbps upload speed).
