What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring a Travel Physical Therapist for a short-term contract in La Cienga, NM. You will deliver patient-centered physical therapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, support program and department operations, and supervise PT/PTA students and support staff.
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for physical and cognitive status.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families.
- Complete and maintain required documentation: initial evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical records.
- Participate in patient- and family-care conferences, in-service training, and departmental meetings.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and community resource referrals.
- Supervise and coordinate Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs; oversee Licensed PTAs, Rehab Technicians, and volunteers.
- Contribute to department performance improvement activities and meet productivity standards.
- Support clinical program development and maintain professional relationships with medical staff and referral sources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or entry-level Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license required prior to start.
- BLS (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- No prior experience required; new graduates with appropriate licensure are welcome.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Assignment Details
- Employment type: Travel / Contract (13-week assignment)
- Start date: 2026-09-14
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; typical shift 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8-hour days)
- Location: La Cienga, NM (assignment may be at facilities in the local region)
