Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a licensed Travel Physical Therapist for an outpatient assignment in La Cienga, NM. This is a full‑time travel position (typical 40 hours/week) with an outpatient schedule and an on-site, day-shift assignment.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy assessments and develop measurable, patient-centered treatment plans.
  • Implement treatment plans and document progress (initial evaluations, daily/weekly progress notes, discharge summaries).
  • Counsel patients and families, participate in care conferences, and complete timely discharge planning with education.
  • Supervise and coordinate Physical Therapy Assistant student programs and volunteer programs as required.
  • Supervise Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers when applicable.
  • Support departmental operations including orientation of new staff, patient scheduling, and participation in performance improvement activities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with medical staff, physicians, and referral sources and refer to community resources as appropriate.
  • Participate in program development, research activities, and continuing education to support quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure (required).
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required).
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or entry-level Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (required).
  • Comfortable using common PT modalities and equipment; ability to adapt care to age-specific and cultural needs.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to follow departmental policies and procedures.

Experience

  • No prior experience required; new graduates that meet licensure and certification requirements are encouraged to apply.

Assignment Details & Schedule

  • Employment type: Travel, Full‑time (40 hours/week).
  • Typical shift: Days, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Assignment length: 12–13 weeks (outpatient assignment; exact duration to be confirmed).
  • Work schedule: 5 days, 8‑hour shifts.
  • Dress code: Khaki pants and white polo.
  • Weekend/on-call: None required.

Compensation & Other Info

  • Pay: Up to $2,849 per week (based on 40 hours/week). Exact pay and any tax‑free stipend will be confirmed during offer.
  • Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
  • Start date: ASAP / listed start around 09/28/2026 (final start date to be confirmed).
  • Job functions include outpatient physical therapy and department support tasks.
