Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a data-driven Transportation Analyst II to support their manufacturing and distribution operations in Englewood, CO. This role turns large logistics datasets into actionable insights, maintains automated freight reporting, and partners across finance, manufacturing, and distribution to reduce cost and improve service levels.
What You’ll Do
- Convert large freight and shipment datasets into clear, actionable trends and visualizations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to clarify freight costs, routing patterns, and distribution impacts
- Design, deploy, and maintain automated reporting and dashboards to monitor freight spend, volume trends, fuel surcharges, and KPI performance
- Audit shipping processes and vendor invoices to detect irregularities and enforce payment business rules
- Respond to carrier inquiries on claims, routing, and invoice/payment status
- Collaborate with the Freight Payment vendor to ensure invoice compliance and timely resolution
- Apply AI-driven workflows to streamline manual, data-intensive tasks and increase analytical throughput
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in logistics coordination, analytics, office, or internship settings
- Required technical skills:
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, charts, lookups)
- SQL query writing and experience manipulating relational data
- Strong problem-solving ability and experience presenting findings using charts, graphs, and tables
- Excellent verbal and written communication and strong attention to detail in daily operations
- Comfortable learning and integrating AI/automation tools to improve workflows and reporting

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: 71,000 USD - 78,000 USD per year (range provided by the employer)
