About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Transmission Line Engineer to join their Transmission & Structural team within Energy Services. This is a development-focused position ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to four years of experience who want hands-on exposure to overhead transmission-line design and PLS software modeling while learning from senior engineers and technical leaders.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with transmission-line design and modeling using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER under senior staff direction
  • Perform structure loading, sag-tension, and clearance calculations with senior review
  • Prepare plan-and-profile drawings, structure lists, and material lists for projects
  • Support field data collection, LiDAR-based modeling, and as-built verification
  • Compile calculation packages and assist with checking project deliverables
  • Coordinate with structural, civil, and geotechnical team members on assigned tasks
  • Participate in formal training, mentorship, and professional development programs

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering (or a closely related field)
  • 0–4 years of engineering experience; internships or co-ops are welcomed
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or working toward EIT
  • Foundational knowledge of structural analysis and engineering design principles
  • Strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and clear written and verbal communication
  • Preferred: coursework, internship, or co-op experience in power, transmission, structural, or utility engineering
  • Preferred: exposure to PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, or MicroStation
  • Preferred: familiarity with NESC or ASCE (10/74/113) design standards
  • Interest in pursuing PE licensure and a long-term career in transmission engineering

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range: $67,000 - $77,000 per year

Location & Work Model
