Role Overview

Confidential Client (PR, Advertising & Marketing) is seeking a smart, driven Trainee — Sponsorship & Experiential to join its Agency Services team. This full-time, six-month trainee program provides hands-on experience supporting sponsorship and experiential (event) marketing activations and offers exposure across the organization. The role is remote-eligible with the primary location listed as Schiller Park, IL, and requires business travel for events and client work.


Responsibilities

  • Embody and reflect a performance-based agency culture and uphold high standards for all agency work
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver executional excellence
  • Support project management, vendor coordination, and client communications (status calls, status reports, email and phone) under senior direction
  • Edit and refine PowerPoint presentations with strong aesthetic judgment and exacting attention to detail
  • Conduct desk/online research to support client/program objectives
  • Prepare meeting materials, handle follow-up materials after events, and maintain clear administrative documents
  • Assist with sponsorship management tasks including creative development, approvals, and administrative tracking
  • Support event oversight and on-site execution at the direction of the account team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary during the six-month Trainee period: $45,000 per year
  • If converted to permanent Assistant Account Executive after the trainee period, salary adjusts to $47,500 per year

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 0–1 years’ experience in a marketing role at an agency, brand, media company, sports/entertainment property, or related organization
  • Strong interest in sponsorship and experiential/event marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct online/desk research
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to produce high-quality work at a fast pace
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word; proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to travel for business (typically 2–5 days per trip) and to work in on-site/event environments
  • Graphic design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) are a plus
  • Proactive, collaborative team player with a strong work ethic

Program & Employment Details

  • Duration: Full-time, six-month trainee program with potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs
  • Employment type: Full-time (trainee/internship classification for the program)
  • Location: Remote-eligible; primary location Schiller Park, IL. Event and client-site travel required.
  • Note: This position is an entry-level Trainee role designed to provide broad exposure across agency services, sponsorship, and experiential teams.
