What You’ll Do
This contract role is for a Trade Support Analyst focused on trade lifecycle and control activities across credit and rates products. Responsibilities include:
- Support daily trade capture, validation, affirmation, and reconciliation for products such as credit default swaps, credit spread options, interest rate swaps, bonds, loans, and equity options.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, position and cash reconciliation issues, and confirmation discrepancies within established cutoffs.
- Build and maintain Excel macros and basic automations to reduce manual work and improve timeliness.
- Communicate clearly with front office, middle office, settlements, and technology teams to triage issues and track progress to resolution.
- Execute trade control processes with accuracy and timely escalation when required.
- Suggest and help implement control enhancements to reduce recurring breaks and improve operational efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Fresh graduates with relevant coursework or internships are welcome.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including macros/VBA or equivalent Excel automation experience.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication for working with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment on escalation, and meet tight cutoffs.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to traded products (credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, bonds, loans, equity options).
- Prior internship or work experience in trade operations, securities lending, settlements, or related finance functions.
- Familiarity with trade capture systems, confirmations, and settlement processes.
- Basic familiarity with reconciliation methodology and exception management.
Role Logistics
- Location: Newark, DE — 100% in-office (9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Overtime as required based on volume.
- Duration: Contract — approximately 4 months (W2).
- Pay: $25.00 per hour (W2).
- Interview process: One panel interview via Zoom.
- Immigration: Not eligible for employer-sponsored immigration support.
- Supplier submission limit: 2 candidates per supplier.
