Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Trade Desk Associate to support exchange platform operations and customer-facing workflows. This role reports to the Trade Desk Manager and offers on-the-job training in market structure, platform monitoring, and basic incident response. The selected candidate must be willing to work 10:30am CST – 7:30pm CST, Monday–Friday, and follow a four-day in-office work model to support team collaboration.


What You’ll Do

  • Platform monitoring & operations support

    • Assist with daily system checks and review audit logs under senior guidance to verify system changes and platform health
    • Monitor production, disaster recovery, and test environments; escalate anomalies promptly
    • Support delivery of live updates to customers and internal teams when incidents occur
    • Follow standard operating procedures to help resolve routine platform issues
  • Customer & exchange support

    • Provide first-level support for platform behavior, order processing, market-structure and feature/function questions
    • Support exchange platform operations including order cancel requests, clearing support requests, and supervised client onboarding tasks
    • Help monitor auctions/rotations and assist with block trade and ECRP support as directed
  • Data & analysis

    • Use SQL and UNIX shell tools under supervision to query data and examine logs for reporting and troubleshooting
    • Assist in documenting findings and preparing basic reports for business teams and customers
  • Process, documentation & testing

    • Update internal technical procedures and operational documentation in the team’s knowledge base under direction
    • Support participation in weekend industry testing as needed
  • Collaboration & learning

    • Build working knowledge of exchange platforms, APIs (market data, order entry, web service), and operational workflows through mentorship
    • Develop relationships across Operations, Technology and Business teams to exchange information and support shared goals
    • Perform other duties as required

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Financial Services, Communications, or related), or equivalent coursework/projects
  • 0–2 years' professional experience; internships or academic projects in financial services or technology are a plus
  • FINRA SIE and Series 57 licenses, or ability to obtain both within the first 8 months of service — required
  • Basic familiarity with SQL and UNIX shell environments (coursework or personal experience accepted)
  • Strong eagerness to learn trading systems, market structure and technical support workflows
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively

Schedule, location & eligibility

  • Work hours: 10:30am CST – 7:30pm CST, Monday–Friday
  • Work model: Four-day in-office schedule to promote team partnership
  • Location: Quivira, KS (local candidates preferred)
  • Visa: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation & benefits

  • Anticipated base salary range (US): $68,000–$88,000 per year (actual pay determined by experience, skills, education, and location)
  • This role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and long-term equity programs where applicable
