Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Trade Associate - Energy to provide day-to-day trade desk and broker support. This is an onsite, full-time position based in North Kansas City, MO. The Trade Associate will help ensure accurate trade execution communication, margin call processing, account reconciliation and new-account setup while supporting brokers so they can focus on generating revenue and building client relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Accept and record orders, changes and cancellations from customers; route to the trade desk for execution.
- Notify customers of filled orders, margin positions and other trade-related updates.
- Review daily margin call lists and contact clients to resolve margin issues.
- Coordinate timely processing of margin calls, working with customers, financial contacts and accounting to resolve wire or transfer problems.
- Reconcile accounts, maintain accurate customer records and update account documentation.
- Prepare and maintain new account folders and ensure new-account paperwork is complete.
- Supervise option expirations and futures delivery processes.
- Maintain documentation for wire requests, instructions and inquiries.
- Perform administrative and ad-hoc tasks to support the trading team.
What We’re Looking For

- Professional, mature communication style with customers and internal teams.
- Numerically capable with advanced Excel skills (spreadsheet creation, formulas).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, agricultural economics or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Series 3 certification required within 60 days of employment.
- Candidates graduating after August 2026 will NOT be considered.
