Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Tier 1 AML Analyst for an on-site, long-term contract in Chicago, IL. This entry-level / early-career role is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience in anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC) reviews, and investigative support while working in a fast-paced compliance environment.

What You’ll Do

You will support Tier 1 investigative workflows and help ensure accurate, timely reviews by performing tasks such as:

• Review customer and account information to identify potential AML / KYC concerns and escalate as appropriate
• Examine documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with internal compliance standards
• Use Microsoft Excel and internal tools to organize case details, track progress, and maintain records
• Perform initial research and summarize findings clearly for escalation to Tier 2 or compliance stakeholders
• Maintain consistent documentation of analysis, actions taken, and next steps for assigned work items
• Follow established procedures and quality expectations while handling a steady volume of reviews on-site

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, Economics, Criminal Justice, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort using technology-based systems
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail when reviewing sensitive information
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with others
• Interest in AML, KYC, compliance, or financial crime prevention
• Ability to manage routine tasks effectively while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Location & Work Arrangement

• This position requires daily on-site attendance in Chicago, IL. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this posting.
• Candidates must be able to commute to the assigned on-site location reliably.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated annual pay (source data): $59,578 (estimated)
• Contract/temporary professionals may be eligible for benefits such as medical, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, and 401(k) enrollment — where applicable for the engagement.
