Role Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Thermal Hydraulics Engineer I to support thermal‑fluids, heat transfer, and system performance work. This role is ideal for early-career engineers (new graduates up to ~3 years’ experience) who want hands-on technical experience, mentorship from senior engineers, and exposure to regulated, safety‑critical engineering projects in the advanced energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thermal‑hydraulic and thermal‑fluid calculations and analyses
- Support the development and execution of analytical and computational models
- Contribute to fluid flow, heat transfer, thermodynamic, steady‑state, and transient system evaluations
- Assist with testing, validation, benchmarking, and performance assessments
- Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on innovative projects
- Participate in technical reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- Graduate / entry level up to approximately 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, research, co‑op, or prior industry experience in thermal/fluid systems
- Exposure to energy, power generation, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with engineering analysis tools and simulation software (e.g., thermal‑fluids modeling, simulation packages)
- Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and professional development
