Confidential Client is seeking a Thermal Analyst I (Onsite) based in Huntsville, AL. This is an onsite, full-time engineering role supporting aerospace & defense hardware. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. The position offers a competitive salary range and opportunities to work on thermal analyses, testing, and cross-discipline engineering support.

- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 - $108,800 per year
Responsibilities
- Perform hand calculations and derive requirements for higher-fidelity thermal and structural analysis
- Execute detailed thermal analyses to resolve program thermal design challenges using commercial tools and validated methods
- Create test plans to verify analytical results and demonstrate hardware compliance to requirements
- Support test setup and execution; analyze test data, correlate, and validate thermal models
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on moderately complex problems while meeting program cost and schedule constraints
- Lead and participate in technical peer reviews to ensure correctness and completeness of deliverables
- Present technical results to internal stakeholders and external customers
- Produce clear, archival technical reports and documentation
Qualifications — Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) completed by start date
- Practical experience with one or more thermal analysis / simulation tools such as FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA, ANSYS, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to apply mechanical and thermal principles to solve classical thermal engineering problems both with and without software tools
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
Qualifications — Preferred
- Experience with solid-model CAD tools such as CREO or equivalent
- Thermal test and instrumentation experience; ability to generate and execute test plans
- Academic or professional experience in electronics cooling and aerodynamic heating analyses
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical material clearly
