What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Test & Validation Engineer I to support production and testing of complex electronic systems, units and modules used in mission-critical radar and communications products. This is an onsite role in Forest, MS.
- Develop and maintain test procedures for electronic assemblies and systems
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve test failures (hardware and test environment)
- Maintain and recommend replacement for Special Test Equipment (STE) to address obsolescence
- Train technicians on test procedures and provide clear troubleshooting documentation
- Convert technical data into concise, visually-engaging slides and reports
- Mentor and train entry-level Test Engineers on test processes
- Travel occasionally as required
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM field (required by start date)
- Hands-on experience with common electronic test procedures and test equipment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze test data and determine hardware conformance to specifications
- U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret). Active clearance may be required depending on role timing.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience with the same employer or similar defense/aerospace environment
- Experience with optical fiber communications
- Familiarity with modern automated test systems for electronics
- Lab experience with RF network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with Linux
- Experience performing technical data analysis and interpreting product specifications
Compensation & Logistics
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 – $108,800 per year
- Employment type: Full-time, Onsite (primarily onsite for production/test roles)
- Location: Forest, MS
- This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; only U.S. citizens are eligible
