Position Overview

Confidential Client (Engineering) is hiring a Test System Architect Engineer I to work onsite in Silver Lane, CT. This early-career engineering role supports Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for Verification & Validation (V&V) of engine systems and test campaigns. The position is part of a rotational Engineering Development Program (EDP) for approximately 2.5 years and includes exposure to system requirements, test design, and model-driven test planning.

What You’ll Do

• Apply a Test System Model framework and MBSE methodology (Cameo SysML or equivalent) to engine programs.
• Develop and deploy the Cameo SysML model for V&V processes to serve as the authoritative source of truth for validation, planning, and system integration.
• Collaborate with design and validation engineers to capture system functions and critical inputs/outputs for robust test planning and execution.
• Transform legacy, document-based verification and validation processes into a model-based approach (assembly, instrumentation, test planning/design).
• Work with program validation teams to ensure the Test System Model meets engineering, program, and customer needs.
• Support digital test planning, design, and execution of development engine build and test campaigns.
• Travel approximately 10% to collaborate with build and test sites as required.

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience working on a team to solve an engineering problem (can include coursework, projects, research, or on-the-job).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s in Systems Engineering (preferred).
• Aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience with Verification, Validation, or Testing.
• Experience with Cameo SysML or an equivalent MBSE tool.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD per year (good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels).
• Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, parental leave, paid time off, and eligibility for incentive programs depending on role and business unit.
• Relocation eligibility may apply.
• Participation in a structured Engineering Development Program (rotational training: 12 months / 9 months / 9 months).

Work Location & Travel

• Onsite role based in Silver Lane, CT. This position requires primarily onsite work.
• Some interview steps may be requested in-person at a client office location.
• Approximately 10% travel to build and test sites may be required.

Security & Authorization

• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government–issued security clearance is required.
• Security clearance type: DoD Secret. Active/ existing clearance required after day 1 (per client requirements).
