What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Test Engineer to support a mission-critical transportation/logistics program (USTRANSCOM Integrated Booking System). You will work on front- and/or back-end testing and development tasks under senior technical guidance to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Design, develop, and maintain software and test automation using Angular and Java-based frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot)
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Write unit, integration, and system tests to validate features and prevent regressions
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve defects reported by users or QA
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support automated build/test workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Document test plans, results, and code changes for traceability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 0–2 years of software development or software testing experience
- Proficiency with Angular and Java-based frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot)
- Experience using version control (Git)
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON / XML data formats
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and related tools
- Prior exposure to defense-related projects or USTRANSCOM programs
Clearance & Eligibility
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
