Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Test Engineer to support TSA acceptance testing of checkpoint and checked-baggage systems. This is a remote role with significant travel (approximately 75% annually) to airports, OEM facilities, and test sites nationwide. You will work under the direction of Test Leads and senior engineering staff to support test planning, execution, data collection, and reporting across Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Operational Readiness Testing (ORT), Verification Testing (VT), and Integrated System Acceptance Testing (ISAT).
Key Responsibilities
- Support acceptance testing and evaluation activities for checkpoint and/or checked-baggage systems.
- Assist with review and interpretation of test plans, test procedures, and requirements documentation.
- Support test-readiness tasks including verification of test articles, equipment configurations, and system baselines.
- Assist Test Leads during FAT, SAT, ORT, VT, and ISAT events—both on-site and remotely.
- Observe and document test activities; support test execution and preliminary data analysis.
- Collect, validate, and help organize test data for reporting.
- Support preparation of Quick Look Reports (QLRs), test reports, datasheets, and metrics summaries.
- Coordinate with Test Technicians, logistics staff, and program stakeholders under supervision.
- Participate in planning meetings, test briefings, and post-test out-briefs.
- Communicate technical observations clearly and promptly to Test Leads and senior engineering staff.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 0–3 years of experience in engineering, systems testing, test support, or related technical roles.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation and structured test procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (≈75%); work performed remotely with frequent on-site test events.
- Ability to work in airports, OEM production facilities, test laboratories, and warehouse/storage environments.
- Ability to lift and move test equipment (typically up to ~40–50 lbs).
- Flexibility to support off-hours or extended schedules during active test events.
- Sole U.S. citizenship required, with eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and to obtain TSA suitability checks.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $55,000 – $78,000 (paid annually). Final offer will reflect experience, location, and qualifications.

Work Environment & Clearances
