Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Territory Sales Professional in Poplar Bluff, MO. This outside-sales role focuses on building a new book of business by meeting face-to-face with local business owners, benefits managers, and employees to present industry-leading supplemental insurance products. The role includes classroom and field training, a supportive sales team environment, and clear paths for performance-based growth.
What You’ll Do
- Utilize a customized Salesforce CRM to curate leads and generate new clients across your assigned territory.
- Make in-person sales visits to small and medium-sized businesses to acquire and retain clients.
- Respond to client inquiries by phone, email, or text as needed.
- Schedule and conduct meetings to assess client insurance needs and present solutions.
- Attend scheduled coaching calls and meetings with your sales manager and team.
- Develop relationships with local business owners and follow up on referral leads.
- Build and nurture your own client portfolio and manage pipeline activity.
- Collaborate with your manager to set monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Plan and submit your weekly schedule and record daily work stats and sales activity.
Qualifications
- Willingness to pass a high-level pre-employment background check.
- Active driver’s license and reliable transportation; frequent local travel within the assigned territory is required.
- Active Health & Life Insurance Producer license in your resident state — or willingness to obtain one. (Study course provided at no cost; state licensing fees reimbursement available.)
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 4 years post-high-school work experience. Candidates within 6 months of degree completion or with relevant sales/athletic background may be considered.
- Strong communicator with a competitive, team-oriented mindset and a desire to build long-term client relationships.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
