What You’ll Do
This is an outside, territory-based sales role focused on building a new book of business for supplemental health and life insurance products. You will meet face-to-face with business owners, benefits managers, and employees to present solutions that meet their needs and grow long-term relationships.
- Utilize a customized Salesforce CRM to manage leads, track activity, and convert prospects into clients
- Make regular in-person visits to local small and medium-sized businesses to generate new client acquisition and retention
- Respond to client inquiries by phone, email, or text in a timely manner
- Schedule and lead meetings with potential and existing clients to understand benefits needs and present tailored solutions
- Attend scheduled calls and meetings with your sales manager and sales team
- Follow up on referral leads and re-service existing clients to maintain high retention
- Build and maintain your client portfolio; record daily work stats and update sales activity at the end of each workday
- Collaborate with your sales manager to set and pursue monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Plan and submit your weekly schedule to your sales manager and manage your territory independently
Additional Qualifications
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Active driver’s license and reliable transportation required (territory travel)
- Active Health & Life Insurance Producer license in your resident state — or willingness to obtain one (study course provided at no cost; state licensing fees reimbursement available)
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 4 years post–high-school work experience (candidates within 6 months of degree completion or with relevant sales/athletic background and under 4 years experience will be considered)
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and time-management skills
- Comfortable using Salesforce or similar CRM systems and tracking daily activity
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $66,912 per year (estimated) — performance-based, commission-first structure with weekly draw option
- Commissions with no caps; short sales cycle (approx. 3 business days)
