What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Range Engineering & Instrumentation team supports Transportable Telemetry Systems used for land- and sea-based telemetry data acquisition in support of flight and missile testing. You'll join a hands‑on engineering team and provide on-site technical and operational support for test events.

  • Support electronic system design, modernization, maintenance, and component testing
  • Configure and operate telemetry acquisition systems and associated instrumentation
  • Perform technical data reduction, analysis, and basic signal processing
  • Program and configure instrumentation and telemetry controllers
  • Run simulations and test procedures to validate system performance
  • Produce clear, well-documented technical reports, test logs, and status updates
  • Coordinate with customers and stakeholders during test events and deployments

Minimum Qualifications

  • US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering disciplines considered)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work (see Travel & Physical Requirements)

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Coursework or experience in RF theory and digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Familiarity with telemetry tracking systems and common telemetry data formats
  • Hands-on electronics skills and instrument troubleshooting
  • Experience programming instrumentation or embedded systems
  • Interest or experience with test-range operations, missile telemetry, or shipboard testing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare technical documentation for varied stakeholders

Travel & Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent, planned travel — often more than 50% of the time — and significant time spent aboard ships supporting flight tests in the Pacific Theater. Candidates must be able to:

  • Travel for up to two weeks at a time and stay aboard test vessels
  • Work outdoors and at heights greater than 20 feet above ground when required
  • Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Operate in physically demanding and variable environments

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base salary: $122,152 per year (estimated)
