Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Telecommunications Designer to join a multidisciplinary design and engineering team. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite role based in International, WA. You will receive hands-on mentorship, professional development, and exposure to commercial and mission-critical technology infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Do

• Create and modify telecommunications design drawings using Revit.
• Support the design of structured cabling, network infrastructure, and low-voltage systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Collaborate with architectural, engineering, and construction teams to integrate technology systems into building designs.
• Assist with drafting and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and design reviews.
• Learn industry standards and best practices related to telecommunications and low-voltage design.
• Support project schedules and deliverables while working alongside senior designers and project managers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, Drafting, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience using Revit through coursework, academic projects, internships, or professional experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering or construction drawings.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated interest in telecommunications, technology infrastructure, or building systems design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, co-op, or project experience related to engineering, construction, drafting, or design.
• Exposure to AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
• Interest in pursuing industry certifications such as BICSI or RCDD.
• Familiarity with electrical, low-voltage, or telecommunications systems.

Team members may support design efforts for:

• Structured cabling and high-bandwidth network infrastructure
• Data centers and mission-critical facilities
• Wireless network systems
• Security, access control, and surveillance systems
• Audio-visual and communications systems
• Broadband and outside plant infrastructure
• Building automation and smart building technologies
• Voice, data, and video network systems

Work Environment & Location

• This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire position based in International, WA.
• You will work with multidisciplinary design and engineering teams and report to senior designers/project managers.
• Anticipated opportunity for advancement into project leadership roles as experience grows.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour (hourly rate offered will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors).
