What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Technology Sales Engineer to join a structured early-career sales program focused on AI, hybrid cloud, automation, data, and security. This role blends technical problem solving, customer engagement, and business consulting with classroom and on-the-job training.
- Participate in client discovery to capture business objectives, technical requirements, current environments, and success criteria.
- Design and validate technical solution approaches that map technology capabilities to customer outcomes.
- Build and deliver demos, proofs of concept, workshops, and technical presentations that show integration, feasibility, and business value.
- Translate technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support customer adoption and success by helping define use cases, removing technical blockers, and advising on deployment considerations.
- Collaborate with sales, specialists, customer success teams, and partners to advance opportunities and identify expansion areas.
- Contribute reusable assets, technical best practices, and ideas that accelerate client enablement and solution adoption.
- Present technical findings and next steps to stakeholders and support opportunity close activities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed by start date in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, software development, AI, automation, data, or cybersecurity.
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar).
- Familiarity using AI-assisted development tools to prototype, build, or troubleshoot applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for technology and client success.
Preferred
- Internship, co-op, research, project, or extracurricular experience in technology, consulting, customer success, technical sales, or software development.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, AI, cybersecurity, automation, or modern application development.
- Technical certifications or participation in hackathons, case competitions, or technology programs.
- Leadership experience in student organizations, athletics, volunteering, or community work.
- Domain knowledge in specific industries or business areas.
